Prayer Rock Vineyards prides themselves on being a family owned and operated winery that is approachable and welcoming to all visitors! What separates Reustle Prayer Rock from other wineries is that they only allow fruit that is grown on their own vineyards to make it into their bottles. Additionally, the wine isn’t mass produced. The process is limited to small lots allowing each batch to be distinct and different. Small batches doesn’t necessarily mean a small amount of bottles, though! Since opening their doors, Prayer Rock Vineyards has bottle and sold roughly 6,000 cases of wine a year. The wine is so popular that it has historically sold out each and every time it is made available. Of course, when you make a trip to the property you’re going to want to taste the wine for yourself! Reustle Prayer Rock Vineyards offers guests the chance to join them in their Tasting Room. After taking a short tour on their way to the unique tasting room, guests are seated at custom made tables built from wine casks and presented with wine and an appetizer pairing. During the experience guests will learn a thing or two from the Wine Educator and, if they’re lucky, the Winemaker might even stop by for a visit! The Prayer Rock Vineyards tasting room is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00AM to 5:00PM. Craving a different wine tasting experience? Reustle Prayer Rock Vineyards has the perfect thing for you, their Wine Cave! Since 2008 guests have been invited into the Wine Cave that features low lighting, crystal chandeliers, plenty of oak wine barrels, and even etching into the stone walls. The property best describes their unique tasting area, “Angel carvings in the cave walls and three catacomb tasting rooms give the feeling of walking through an ‘Old World’ cave with thousands of years of history within the walls. And the Christian iconography will make one think you are stepping back into biblical times.” Oh, and if you’re wondering where the winery gets the name “Prayer Rock” from, there actually is a prayer rock located on the property! The rock is located on the south-facing slope and is the actual place where Stephen would meet with his son to pray for blessings over the land.
